If you run an online business and you want to sell you information products on auto-pilot then you must have a sales page so in today’s video I will share with you the 10 things every sales page needs to convert. If you’re a coach or a service provider or you’re selling information products online, you need to have a sales page that converts. So let’s dive into the 10 elements you need to have in place to get a sales page to convert.
Every single sales page must have a strong headline. When a potential buyer visits your sales page you have only 2 seconds to grab there attention so that they keep on scrolling down the page. Yup, 2 seconds. Do I have your attention now? So create a strong headline to pull them in that addresses them and their problem is key to keeping people engaged.
2. Understand the Pain Points of Your Prospect
At the top of the sales page it is important to address the pain points that your prospect is experiencing is key to actually getting them to continue reading. Ultimately, you want them to think, “how the heck did she/he get into my head”. If you can accomplish that at the top of the page you will be able to capture their attention so that they keep scrolling down the page. All of this information should be above the fold.
3. Share your story of triumph
Prospects want to know that you have the street cred to get them through what they have been experiencing. They want to know that you’ve been there done that and you’ve got the T-shirt. Showcase your journey of coming out on the other side so that prospective clients know you can relate. Show the transformation that can happen when you commit to a different path.
4. Paint the picture of the future
It is essential that you paint the picture of the bright future that your prospective clients COULD have if they decided to engage in your program. What does it look like? Give detail about how this one decision can change the trajectory of their lives.
5. The Solution aka YOUR Offer
This is where you start to talk about what your product or program can do. This is where you begin to interject you method and how what you do will help render them better off and you outline the basics of what it is that you have to offer.
Testimonials, especially video testimonials, are a great way on a sales pages to show proof that your product provides the transformation that you are claiming it does. Testimonials are a powerful way for the people visiting the sales page to get feedback. If you have ever seen an infomercial you probably noticed that there are tons of different testimonials on them. That is because testimonials work.
7. Great Graphics
Graphics are a great way to make your sales page pretty. Is this important? Absolutely. Graphics also tell the visual story of what you are trying to sell. I love including graphics and visuals that showcase from a monetary perspective what your course or program will do for them. The majority of people scan when it comes to reading online so great graphics will draw the eye in online.
8. The 411
Share the 411 of your offer. Give them all the nitty gritty details of what they get, how they get it, when the calls are etc etc. You want them to have as much information as possible when it comes to this. I always like to us a visual chart of graph here that showcases exactly what is included in a bullet pointed form.
9. Expectation Setting
For me, I like to set super clear expectations out of the gate when someone signs up. Once you sign up x, will happen, then y and so on and so forth. Be specific and even go so far as to say you will receive an email within this time period etc etc. This gives them a very clear outline of what to expect so that you aren’t bombarded with questions after they purchase.
10. Call to action
Have a very clear and strong call to action. Don’t hesitate to include multiple calls to actions throughout the page as it will often take people a few visits to the sales page before they take action so if you include multiple buttons. Make this clear, concise and easy to spot.
These are the 10 essentials elements that all sales pages must include so that they convert. Let me know in the comments section if you have any questions.
